About 5 years ago when my daughters started High School, they would come home from a school dance and complain about the DJ that did the event. They told me horror stories of DJs who showed up with a laptop and computer speakers. The sound was so bad they told the DJ to leave and the school rescheduled the event. They also talked about DJs who would not take request or even play the music that they wanted to hear.
My oldest daughter was in JROTC program and the class was short on funds, so I took my laptop and my surround sound system out of my living room and did the event. From then on, I was hooked. I started doing events for the Knights of Columbus, Birthday Parties, and Girl Scout Dances. I was getting hooked on becoming a Mobile Disc Jockey.
Last Christmas, I attended the Abilene Regional Christmas Party where I was lucky enough to meet JB Cloud (KBCY Disc Jockey). He was so kind and invited me up on stage and gave me a tour of his equipment. After talking with JB, I decided that night that I was going to get me some lights, nice sound system and start me a business. That was 6 months ago and business has been great, thanks to JB, friends and family it has gone real well.
Djing is not my main job, so I'm not trying to make a living at it. I do it because I like to see my customers have a good time, receive a professional service, all for a reasonable price. I get my satisfaction when my customers say Thank You, - that was great. I know that when I purchase something, I want the best price and the best service. If you look at the pictures of my equipment you will see a very professional setup, something that you would be proud to have at your event.
You've paid a lot of money to put on your event. You've purchased flowers, cakes, decorations, hired a photographer, dressed up and invited your best friends and family. After the event is over and your friends are gone and you start looking at your pictures. I want you to say we had fun, everything was very professional, and the DJ did a great job.
I know that I offer some of the lowest prices in and around Abilene, but I don't sacrifice on quality. I will meet with you, go over the event to ensure, I play what you want. I sign a contract so that you know that I'm committed to your event and that we have agreed on, what I will provide to you and what I need to do to meet your needs.
I've heard some stories of other DJs who sign contracts and then you need to change the date or the time, and they refuse to work with your needs. I offer a Protection Plan for $50. If you purchase this plan and you need to change your date and time of your event, I will work with you or refund your deposit minus the $50 Protection Plan fee.
So Remember: When you want the Best, ask for JR - By Request
